About This Page

Trello can be pretty complicated so as we learn, we can keep track of best practices here.

Column Head

The way Trello works at it’s simplistic is this:

  • You create CARDS and place them on a board in columns.
  • Each column is called a LIST.
  • Each list represents a task to be completed.
  • Then you move cards to various lists as they progress.

If the overhaul task is to “get a commission,” then the task progression can be as follows:

  • Eligible: where we can both look it over and discuss whether to:
    • Move it on to the idea development column
    • Just submit a generic RFQ, or
    • Put it in the rejected column.
  • Propose Idea: where we discuss ideas and approaches to the call.
  • Render Idea: where we visualize the idea.
  • Submitted: where we put all the pieces together and submit.
  • Rejected: we could just archive it, but it might be good to have reject column.

At least this is my current thinking. -remo
